FLOW RATE ALARMS ensures sufficient flows of coolants and lubricants in mobile hydraulic equipment and industrial
process control. Field adjustable alarm setting available in single or duel switch.
- Variable Area Flow Meter: The system uses a variable area flow meter to measure the flow rate.
- This meter has a float that rises or falls in a tapered tube based on the fluid’s flow.
- Alarm Sensor: An alarm switch or sensor is mounted on the flow meter’s tube at a specific, adjustable point.
- Float Position: As the float moves with the fluid’s flow, it passes the sensor’s position.
- Alarm Signal: The alarm can be a simple on/off signal, a contact closure, or an inductive proximity sensor that sends a signal to a control panel or other system.
- Alarm Trigger: When the float reaches a pre-set level, the sensor detects this change and triggers an alarm.
- An upper limit alarm activates if the flow is too high.
- A lower limit alarm activates if the flow is too low.
