FES PLASTIC FLOW SWITCH

The Truflo® FES Series Flow Switch is designed to detect liquid flow or low/no flow. The FES switch encompasses a SPST contact that can be wired to energize a device when liquid flow either exceeds or drops below the set flow rate. The FES Series is an excellent choice for corrosive liquid services, water treatment, waste treatment, liquid pumping and process control systems.

FES PLASTIC FLOW SWITCH

The FES Plastic Flow Switch is an insertion-style paddle switch known for its robust, corrosion-resistant design.

  • Construction: Features all-plastic construction with a polypropylene (PP) body and paddle, ensuring excellent chemical resistance to corrosive fluids. Optional PVC fittings are available.
  • Application: Ideal for demanding applications such as chemical processing, water treatment, waste treatment, and liquid pumping systems. It is often used for pump protection and to activate alarms or control motorized valves.
  • Installation: Designed as an easy-to-install, insertion-style unit that can be used in pipe sizes ranging from ½” up to 12″. The paddle can be trimmed to fit specific pipe diameters.
  • Electrical: Encompasses a Single-Pole Single-Throw (SPST) reed switch contact, which can be wired as normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC). The contact is rated for up to 1.5A at 250 VAC.
  • Durability: Features a NEMA 4X (IP65) enclosure, protecting it against dust, water jets, and impact, making it suitable for harsh industrial conditions.
  • Operating Limits:
    • Max Working Pressure: 145 psi (10 bar).
    • Max Working Temperature: 190°F (88°C).
