ADJUSTABLE PRESSURE SWITCH
The Adjustable Pressure Switch is designed for monitoring overpressure, vacuum and differential pressure of air or other non-combustible, non-aggressive gases. A field-adjustable dial allows you to select any trip value within each pressure range. IP54 or IP65 Enclosure Rating.
Possible fields of application include:
• Monitoring air filters and fan status
• Monitoring industrial cooling-air circuits
• Monitoring flows in ventilation ducts
• Used as an air flow proving switch for heater control and frost prevention circuits
Specifications
ADJUSTABLE PRESSURE SWITCH
General specifications
Switch type: Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) is a common configuration, available with normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts.
Adjustment: Field adjustable set point using a screw, where turning clockwise usually increases the pressure and counter-clockwise decreases it.
Switching medium: Air, compatible fluids, or gases, depending on the model.
Weight: Varies by model, ranging from under a pound to over a kilogram.
Electrical specifications
Electrical rating: Varies widely, from (0.4A) to (25A) at (125/250) VAC. Some models offer higher ratings for inductive loads.
Electrical connections: Common options include quick-disconnect terminals or screw terminals.
Performance specifications
Pressure range: Highly variable, from low-pressure models (e.g., inches of water column) to high-pressure hydraulic applications (e.g., up to (15000) PSI).
Repeatability: Typically a percentage of the full set point range, such as (pm 2%).
Differential (or deadband): The difference between the cut-in and cut-out pressure points. It is often expressed as a percentage of the set point range and varies depending on the model and setting.
Mechanical life: Can be very long, with some models rated for over 10 million cycles.
